HOW TO HEAL THE INNER CHILD
To my inner child,
1.Choose a place to meditate without distractions and relax then start your breathing slowly and place your right hand on your heart and tap gently as you listen to your breathing.The visual image is to see a baby laying on your heart area and you are burping the baby to release the stress in the inner child.
2.The adult is now ready to search for the secrets of the inner child, and find the memories of the inner child that are deep in the subconsciousness mind.
3.As the adult, you should speak with a gentle reassuring soft voice and use your unconditional love and kindness with the inner child in an objective manner.
4.As the adult remembers the events of the past memories breathing is important to the processing of every event that occurred in the past and to tell the inner child that it is now the present and you are the caretaker.
5.The original caretakers of the inner child will be in the memories so be prepared to replace yourself in the images with the inner child and don't put blame or judgment on the previous caretakers. Just keep telling the inner child you are now taking care of them now.
6.By releasing all judgments and blame for the original caretakers for their part of the inner child's journey through the victim consciousness you are now ready to forgive them and your inner child of all interaction in the memory that will come to your conscious mind in the present moment.
7.There will be certain words you can say to trigger the memories of the childhood experiences like a song or favorite story or any sensory attachments to childhood. Sometimes looking at pictures of yourself as the child is a good visualization technique.
8.Insecurity and trust by the adult are the main issues that have shown up in the adults life that came from the inner child's feelings that were not understood at the time they occurred so address them and tell the inner child you will keep them safe and secure.
9.The abusive thoughts from the memories of the inner child are both verbal and physical and will come into the conscious mind for the adult to process and release forgiveness to the caretakers and the inner child.Each event needs attention until a deep breath comes from the chest area keep tapping ad saying it will be okay dear one I am here.
10.There will moments of joy or peace and drama that will overwhelm and take your breath away so remember breath deeply.
11.Everything is a process of bringing memories into the consciousness and releasing the breath and saying it is okay now I am here for you now.
12.The emotions of the inner child are connected to the emotions of the adult and can be a trigger to react or response in any situation that the inner child is uncomfortable with.This is going to occur so go back to the meditation and bring back the memory of the experience in the adult's life and talk to the inner child about what he or she is feeling.
13.This exercise can be done alone or with a trained trusted person who has done their own inner child work.
